Our Story
The Early Days
Arun Angling was born in 1990. At the time it was just a small corner of a lawn mower shop situated in a garden centre. Started by founders Tim Nudds and Dick Mcindoe both very keen anglers.
This small corner soon grew in popularity and over time the once lawn mower store became the best fishing tackle shop around!.
In these early days many customers became life long friends and are still using the shop today over 30 years later! This fact showing that we are not just any business, we have become a community, a family of like minded friends that share our lives and fishing adventures together, a bond that is special in today’s world!
Over the years the business has grown and made constant improvements, moving twice into what is now our 3rd and largest store. During this time we have seen many happenings in the fishing industry and now have many years of experience that has enabled us to produce the best Angling store we’ve ever had.
The Present
Now owned and run by Greg Walker and Simon Wilcox we aim to maintain our position as the number one tackle shop in West Sussex.
We are continually re-investing in the business and have just completed a major refit in our store.
We are appreciative that many of our customers travel from all over West Sussex and beyond such is the reputation for our tackle and advice. With our experienced and friendly knowledgeable staff with nearly 30 years in the fishing tackle trade it’s easy to see why we have become so popular with our customers.
We’re happy and proud to support our local Angling Clubs so if you’re looking for a Club to join we have membership forms for several local clubs and can offer instant membership for some.
